What happened

[REDACTED] was picking up an Exacto blade and didn 't notice that the blade was standing straight upright with no cap. Her hand and body weight pushed the blade into her right thumb causing a puncture cut and bleeding. Pressure and a bandage applied immediately. [REDACTED] reported the incident to HR and went to Med Express Beaver [REDACTED]. Treating provider name: [REDACTED] PA PA-C. Provided [REDACTED] (every 8 hours for 7 days) and a splint for 48 hours.
