Before the incident

[REDACTED] around [REDACTED] an employee was cutting tape from a jammed tape machine. The employee was holding the tape with one hand and cutting the tape with the other. The tape took a little force to get it to start cutting. Once the knife started cutting it cut through the rest of the tape with ease and faster than the employee anticipated. The employees other hand that was forcefully holding the tape broke free hitting the blade of the tape machine and cut employees hand right below the knuckle on his index finger. Employees co workers immediately addressed the cut and employee was taken to a clinic where seven stiches were put in place to address the injury.
