Entering into the home

Was at a patient home doing a blood draw for Lab Outreach. Patient has dog which is known to be aggressive. Normally patient puts dog out but was not out today. Patient gave staff a treat to give dog which he did. Dog seemed okay so staff proceeded into the house. Dog suddenly came and bit staff in the back of the leg. Staff said Ow and turned around quickly and dog backed away. Staff put phlebotomy bag between him and dog and backed to the door and let patient know the dog had to be put out. Skin was broken.
