Before the incident

Pulling on a dock door chain to lower close the door.

What happened

S: Associate reported that their right shoulder was sore after having pulled down dock door number 426. O: I inspected the chain and door. The chain length is adequate and measures as long as several others. I tested closing the door several times and noticed some resistance requiring slightly more force needed to close the door as opposed to one of the newer doors. A: I gave the associate some biofreeze ointment to help and will follow up on her condition daily as needed. P: I advised the associate not to attempt to over exert herself in the future if she is having trouble pulling down the dock door. She should report it to her leadperson to get help. Also to report any mechanical issues that she sees so that we can get maintenance involved.
