During his normal operation the employee noticed a piece of vinyl material lodged inside the saw. While the employee was attempting to remove the material with his right hand he accidentally engaged the saw blade foot pedal which resulted in the blade coming into contact with his right hand.

During this incident the employee sustained a right hand laceration and transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
