Before the incident

Employee was fastening a metal strap used to support and keep the building 's roof structure square at the peak of the roof structure.

What happened

The employee was holding the strap while fastening it to the structure when his left-hands ' glove was caught with the driver of the screw gun he was using. More specifically his left thumb 's glove. The motion of the driver-bit caught his left thumb and twisted and caused a contusion of the area where his thumb bends. The employee was wearing all required PPE required for this operation at the time of this event.
