Removing gearbox to replace drive side bearing

What happened

At around [REDACTED] one of our welder A employees notified supervision that he pinched his finger. The employee was removing a gearbox off of one of our machines to replace bearing. Employee stated that he was swinging a mallet with 2 hands and hit his right pinky finger on gearbox. Employee was wearing proper PPE at the time of incident. Work care was called immediately and an appointment was made at ironbound for further evaluation.
