Before the incident

IW was changing a roll of strap material and used their hand to slow the roll down to remove it from the mandrel. In doing so the IW 's right hand was caught by the strap causing their hand to impact the traversing head (metal).

What happened

By using their hand to stop the rotating strap core for removal the strap was bale to catch the IW 's hand and cause it to impact the adjacent traversing head.

Injury or illness

Minor bruising and swelling on the top of the right hand. No breaks in the skin or bleeding.

Impact with the metal traversing head on the winder equipment.
