Before the incident

I was scrubbing for other patients when provider came out stating flu shot was ordered

What happened

I was administering a flu vaccine. After injecting I pulled out the needle. When putting the safety on the needle I stuck my middle finger tip on my left hand. I bled a small amount. I immediately left the room to was my hands after exiting the patient. I placed the used vaccine in the sharps container.
