What happened

The patient in room 311 was up to use the bedside commode and became non-compliant and aggressive. She got off the bedside commode and sat down on the floor refusing assistance back onto the stretcher. She removed all medical devices including her IV which caused her to bleed. A security team member who was in the room stepped out to clean the patient 's blood off his gloved hands. While he was out the patient started trying to kick the team members. [REDACTED] became injured during the struggle. [REDACTED] is unsure if the patient directly kicked her in the elbow or if the elbow was strained while trying to get the patient back in the stretcher.
