Before the incident
Employee initially stated that she felt irritation in her left eye on [REDACTED]. EE rinsed it and she said it was ok the rest of the day and for [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] as well. On [REDACTED] EE reported to the front office with a irritated and visibly reddened left eye. EE state that they felt like something had gotten into their left eye from cutting cases on the wood cutter. Prior to taking to [REDACTED] the eye wash was used to clean out the eye in addition to a rinse with saline solution and lubricating drops as well after talking to Medcore they recommended taking to the [REDACTED]. At [REDACTED] they performed an additional rinse with saline and determined EE had a scratched cornea with a magnifying lens with blue light. They applied a patch to prevent eye movement and no restrictions were given or medications proscribed.
