Before the incident

Cutting open a cardboard box. Employee was holding the box with her left and was cutting the top left corn of the box when it slipped and lacerated her palm of her left hand below her thumb.

What happened

Employee was cutting a cardboard box on the shelf in the cooler. Employee was stablizing the box with her left hand. She went to cut open the box with her right hand with a box cutter. When striking the box in the upper left corner she slipped- striking her left hand palm- under her thumb- with the box cutter.
