What happened

I was starting an IV on a pt accidently touched my thumb with the clean needle. I did not feel like I cut myself in any way and didn 't notice a hole in the glove. I thew the needle in the sharps and got a new one and started the pts IV. some of the pts blood leaked onto my gloves while connecting the hub. when I took my gloves off I saw a little bit of blood on my thumb. washed my hands with soap and water and saw the puncture mark on my L thumb. Time is approximate.
