Employee was watching the acoustic backing section of the PUR line. Employee notice that there was a trim from the acoustic layer wrapped around the first pressure roll section on the non-operator side.

What happened

Employee stuck his hand under the guarded area to reach the trim to remove it. The roller was not turned off or lifted leather glove got caught in the nip point and his index finger tip where the nail is was removed cut off.
