Before the incident

Working in the inventory department trying to repair a broken dustpan.

What happened

Lock on knife failed with employee was trying to fix a broken dust pan. This caused the employee to cut his right index finger. Went to Urgent care to get looked at and they clean and wrapped the wound. Asked him to come back on the [REDACTED] to check on wound. Was told to work with his left hand only.
