An Assembler was working on [REDACTED] removing trim from a part using a paring knife. He was trimming a bottom seam on the part using his right hand with the knife and left hand to secure the part. Guideing the knife toward himself as he applied more force at the end of the part the knife came though the part and struck his left hand between his thumb and his index finger causing a laceration requiring stitches
