freight was laying on the floor after falling over. Used the pallet jacket to raise freight as much as possible. Used a slip strap to hold freight in position. Deadlifted the freight and a piece broke from the freight and the freight landed on employees thigh. The freight moved to the left and how his other leg stuck and threw out his back. Deadlifted the freight up again.
