Before the incident
My crew and I were on the side of the [REDACTED] installing concrete meter boxes over recently installed water meters. We were on the side of an embankment with the concrete boxes just uphill from us. The boxes were stacked three high in sets of three. Each stack was side-by-side. I grabbed the top right box to bring down an install. When I went back the second box of the right side stack I pulled it out and two other boxes fell down from the middle stack and squished my finger in between the box that I was holding and the ones that were falling. I immediately looked at my left little finger and noticed the fingernail has been almost completely ripped off and it was dripping blood. I walked over to my service truck to try to clean it up but it kept dripping blood. I asked [REDACTED] for his opinion of how bad it looked and he suggested that I go get medical attention.
