Before the incident

Preparing a roll of film to place onto machine.

What happened

Employee was using a [REDACTED] Knife in his right hand to prep a roll for Coater B on the unwind of the machine. After cutting away the excess film he started rolling the roll into position for loading into the machine on the staging table. While doing this he still had the [REDACTED] in his hand and it caught the film and pulled the Kutter into the roll causing it to break. When the [REDACTED] broke it the plastic moved upward into his hand injuring his right ring finer.
