Lowering roller into a shipping crate to send it out for repairs.

What happened

[REDACTED] and another employee ([REDACTED]) were lifting a roll to place it into a shipping crate to send out for repairs. At the bottom of the lift one end of the roll was dropped. This caused the roll to shift and pinched [REDACTED]’s finger between the crate and roll. The left ring finger was smashed and caused a laceration on the inside of the finger above the knuckle.
