What happened

giving covid vaccine I was holding up sleeve with left hand and gave vaccine with my righthand; pulled the syringe out of the arm and was in the process of locking protective cap using my rt hand; over the needle when I let go of sleeve with left hand and stuck my lt index finger on the middle joint area piercing the skin before cap was completely locked into place. the area did bleed after piercing the skin and received a bruise in the area.
