What happened

performing maintenance on a CONAIR grinder. He was using an adjustable wrench to remove the oil fill vent cap. When the threaded cap broke free his hand struck a small pipe plug that is protuding from the grinder. This plug is not particuarly sharp but still was able to lacerate the soft skin on the back of his left hand between the index and middle fingers.
