What happened

On [REDACTED] a package of 20 ft 2x6s turned sideways at the Planer sorter haul-out chains. Team members ran the package up to the surge chains at the stacker to straighten it without being under the sorter. The way the package crossed up when it made it to the stacker resulted in it having to be straightened by hand. The team member was bending over and twisting to throw them into the break-down pocket to fix the cross-up. In doing so the team member pulled their lower back. This occurred around [REDACTED] and the supervisor was notified around [REDACTED].. The team member left at approximately [REDACTED] and was assisted by team members to their spouse 's vehicle who picked them up. On [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] Safety was notified of the incident for the first time and was informed by the team member that an ambulance was taking them to the ER. Investigation began and the team member was visited at the hospital.
