OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):     The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees    Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards related to working from an elevated platform:    (a)  Superior Construction located at 420 Charmony Frontage Road in Sterling, CO 80751:  On and before May 1, 2012, employees were exposed the hazard of falling approximately 16 feet to ground below while working from an elevated metal platform 20 feet in width.  The platform was raised by a Sky Trak 6036 all-terrain forklift.  The width of the platform exceeded ANSI/ITSDF B56.6-2011 design specifications.  Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard while using an all-terrain forklift for lifting personnel is to follow the requirements set forth in ANSI/ITSDF B56.6-2011.
