29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii):     Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not required to wear appropriate goggles, to protect them from the rays when noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields were not used:    a)  AN welding area, station 9, on or about August 1, 2012 and times prior; The employer failed to ensure proper screens or shields were installed around the sides and back of station 9 welder which exposed employees walking past it the hazards associated with arc flash.    b) AN welding area, stations 1 - 9, on or about August 1, 2012 and times prior; The employer failed to ensure the Quality Assurance (QA) employee assigned to this area wore appropriate shaded glasses which exposed her to the hazards associated with arc flash.
