29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. a) At SUNY Oswego, at the site of the Park Hall and SOE Connector project, on or about 11/9/12: Two employees were conducting decking work at approximately 40 feet from ground without fall protection. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item. SOLVAY IRON WORKS WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), 1926.760(C)(3), AND 1926.760(C)(4), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN THE OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER #312368111, CITATION 01, ITEM NUMBER 3, CITATION 01, ITEM NUMBER 4, AND CITATION 01, ITEM NUMBER 5a RESPECTIVELY, ISSUED ON 4/14/2009, FINAL ORDER ON 12/4/2009, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT OHM BOCES, 70 MIDDLE SETTLEMENT ROAD, NEW HARTFORD, NY 13413.
