29 CFR 1910.124(g)(2): Employees who  worked with liquids that could irritate or otherwise harm their skin were not provided with an emergency shower and eye-wash station close to the dipping and coating operation (Note:  In place of this equipment,  the employee may use a water hose that is at least 4 feet (1.22 m) long and at least 3/4 of an inch (18 mm) thick with a quick-opening valve and carrying a pressure of 25 pounds per square inch (1.62 k/cm2) or less.) :     a) On or about 2/26/14 in the production area; employees used parts washer and buckets of solvent ( 142 Flash - eye and skin irritant) to clean parts and tooling from the Davenport screw machines with only one 16 oz. squeeze bottle of eye irrigation solution in the event of eye or skin contact . 29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch:     a) On or about 02/26/14 in the production area; employees used the bench grinder to chamfer the bars, remove burs and other related work activities with the work rest opening of 5/8" exposing them to being caught between the moving wheel and the tool rest.       b) On or about 02/26/14 in the production area; employees used the bench grinder to prepare tooling and sharpening with the work rest opening of 3/8" exposing them to being caught between the moving wheel and the tool rest.
