29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:    a)  On or about February 6, 2014, and at times prior, employees were exposed to large amounts of respirable dust while they sawed and installed Structo-Crete panels.  These employees had not received effective training regarding the health hazards, such as silica, potentially present in the dust.  Employees were unaware that the product contained silica or what the health hazards associated with silica were.  These employees could not locate a material safety data sheet (MSDS) or a safety data sheet (SDS) for the Structo-Crete.  These employees had not been trained to detect the presence of silica hazards nor how to protect themselves from these hazards.  The employees had not seen the companys hazard communication program.
