Neither misting nor wetting of the roof cutter blade or roofing material to be cut was performed. This practice generated dust and debris. Employees utilized shovels to remove the dry cut debris. The dry debris and dust was transported via wheelbarrow to a chute. Employees deposited the debris into an open top truck trailer three floors below the roof via the chute. The debris and dust was not wetted prior to removal. This condition exposed employees to an airborne asbestos hazard.
