On or about December 13, 2014, an employee using a Hitachi NR83A2 pneumatic nail gun was not wearing safety glasses, exposing himself to being hit by nails or flying debris.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  a. On or about December 13, 2014, two employees performing decking operations were not protected from 16-foot 4-inch exterior fall hazard by use guardrail system, safety net system, personal fall arrest system or any alternative fall protection.
