29 CFR 1926.102(a)(3): Employees whose vision requires the use of corrective lenses in spectacles, when required by this regulation to wear eye protection, shall be protected by goggles or spectacles:  a. On or about January 28, 2015, the employee cutting plywood with a Makita saw was not wearing safety glasses.  He had on his personal eye glasses without side shields.   He was being exposed to eye injuries.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13): The top or top step of a stepladder was used as a step:  a. On or about January 28, 2015, throughout the home, employees were using the top step a blue Werner 6-foot step ladder, an orange Werner 6-foot step ladder and a green Werner 6-foot step ladder to access and egress to 9 feet trusses.  They were being exposed to a 9 feet fall hazard.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):  a. On or about January 28, 2015, roof area - back of the home, the employee moving plywood around was not protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, safety net system, personal fall arrest system or any other type of fall protection method.  He was being exposed to a 9 feet fall hazard.  b. On or about January 28, 2015, roof area - front of the home, the employee bracing trusses was not  protected from falling 9 feet by the use of a guardrail system, safety net system, personal fall arrest system or any other type of fall protection method.  The Home Star Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 988603, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on September 14, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 62 N Shingles Lane, Water Sound, FL 32413.
