29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    (a)    On or about December 30, 2014, AR Core Maintenance Shop, a Power Team 25-ton hydraulic press was not guarded to protect employees against flying chips and debris.       (b)    On or about December 30, 2014, Project Maintenance Shop, a Wilton floor-mounted drill press (Model 2404) was not guarded to protect employees against flying chips and debris.    (c)    On or about December 30, 2014 - Project Maintenance Shop, an Okuma & Howa milling machine (Model STM-2V, Serial #49500) was not guarded to protect against flying chips and debris.    (d)    On or about December 30, 2014 - Project Maintenance Shop, a Sharp Meehanite milling machine (Model Unknown, Serial #Unknown) was not guarded to protect employees against flying chips and debris.    Please note:  A potential means of abatement would be to provide shielding made from suitable materials (such as, but not limited to, lexan or plexiglass) to protect against flying chips and debris.
