29 CFR 1910.110(d)(10): Precautions were not taken to prevent damage to LP gas system(s) from vehicular traffic:   (a) On April 8, 2015 the inspection revealed that District Ranger did not ensure that the outdoor propane storage cylinder located to the north of the shop at the Emigrant Creek Ranger District was protected from being struck by a vehicle. The cylinder did not have balusters on the south side.   (b) On April 8, 2015 the inspection revealed that District Ranger did not ensure that the outdoor propane storage cylinder located at the SW corner of the compound at the Emigrant Creek Ranger District was protected from being struck by a vehicle. The cylinder did not have any protective balusters.    The Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 903923, notice number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on July 1, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at Tiller, Oregon.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(i): Unused openings in boxes, raceways, auxiliary gutters, cabinets, equipment cases, or housings were not effectively closed to afford protection substantially equivalent to the wall of the equipment.  (a) On April 8, 2015 the inspection revealed that the District Ranger did not ensure that knockout openings on circuit breaker panel were effectively closed. A knockout on the top and knockout on the side of the circuit breaker panel located in the SW open barn were coming loose and were no longer water-tight.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): Electrical equipment had damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of the equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating.  (a) On April 8, 2015 the inspection revealed that the District Ranger did not ensure that the light switch outside of the hazardous materials storage building was in good condition. The outer cover of the light switch was damaged and was no longer water-tight.
