29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7): Industrial trucks were not examined before being placed in service, and were placed in service if the examination showed any condition adversely affecting the safety of the vehicle. Such examination was not made at least daily. Where industrial trucks are used on a round-the-clock basis, they were not examined after each shift. Defects when found were not immediately reported and corrected.  a.
