On or about March 29, 2016, the employer did not ensure there were no obstructions that created a hazard across the aisle between the Paxson 48inch Slitter Line operators control station and the platform access and egress stairway.  The moving scrap material ran from the slitter machine to the scrap winder directly across the entire length of the aisle.

The top rail of the railing protecting the walkway between the slitter knives stand and the loop pit was approximately 32 inches above the floor.
