29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.    a) On or about May 10, 2016, an employee was operating the Wiltrim High Speed Trimmer without a guard, exposing the employee to the hazard of being struck by the rotating blade.    b) On or about May 10, 2016, operators were not protected from pneumatic action at the spindle by the use of guarding or by location, exposing employees to the hazard of being caught between the pipe material and the machine.
