29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4): Signs were not posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge when the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge was not immediately apparent: House of Cheatham, Inc., Stone Mountain, GA - In the shipping department of the warehouse, the line of sight to an exit was not clearly visible, exposing employees to an entrapment hazard. Directional signs were not posted where the emergency exit was not apparent and visible due to large boxes blocking the view, on or about 07/27/16. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: House of Cheatham, Inc., Stone Mountain, GA - Quality Lab- Employees were dispensing, mixing and utilizing corrosive chemicals such as, but not limited to hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide. An emergency eye wash station was not provided for immediate use in the event of a chemical splash, on or about 7/27/16. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
