29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) On or about March 15, 2017 or prior thereto as the controlling employer, sub-contractor employees were exposed to fall hazards while working within 5-10' of an unguarded window frame on the second floor. The bottom of the window frame was measured at 22" from the second floor and 14.6' from the ground outside.    NOTE: Abatement certification IS NOT required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(4)(ii): Each employee on a walking/working surface was not protected from tripping in or stepping into or through holes (including skylights) by covers:  a) On or about March 15, 2017 or prior thereto as the controlling employer, sub-contractor employees were working within 1-5' of holes in the second floor. Two 16"x16" holes located on the second floor adjacent to the west wall were left unguarded while employees worked to move the furnace.    NOTE:   Abatement certification IS NOT required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(14): Each employee working on, at, above, or near wall openings (including those with chutes attached), where the outside bottom edge of the wall opening was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels and the inside bottom edge of the wall opening is less than 39 inches (1.0 M) above the walking/working surface, is not protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system.  a) On or about March 15, 2017 or prior thereto as the controlling employer, sub-contractor employees were working within 10-15' of wall openings on the second floor. Metal studs with openings measuring 22" were missing guardrails.    NOTE: Abatement certification IS NOT required for this item.
