29 CFR 1910.181(g)(1):   The employer did not ensure that thorough inspection of all ropes in use was made at least once a month nor that a certification record which included the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection, and an identifier for the ropes which were inspected was prepared and kept on file where readily available. The employer did not ensure that any deterioration, resulting in appreciable loss of original strength was be carefully observed and determination made as to whether further use of the rope would constitute a safety hazard:    On or about June 1, 2017, on this rig, employees used wire rope hoist line with deficiencies, including, but not limited to, kinking and mushrooming, when engaged in drilling activities.
