OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to impalement hazards. (a) 44 N 3rd St, Philadelphia - On or about 11/30/17, employees were exposed to impalement hazards such as unprotected anchor bolts which protruded from the concrete flooring and walls. Abatement: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement would be to comply with 29 CFR 1926.701(b) by installing rebar caps and covers over the protruding anchor bolts.
