An evaluation of the operators' ability to safely operate forklift trucks had not been conducted since 2007. 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program included the requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i) and (e)(1)(ii):     On or about March 21, 2018, the employer required employees to work with chemicals such as, but not limited to, propane, coolants and cutting fluids without developing and implementing a hazard communication program which would help in the hazards recognition associated with the chemicals to prevent or reduce employees exposure.    Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:  On or about March 21, 2018, the employer required the employees to work with chemicals such as, but not limited to, propane, coolant, cutting fluids and oil materials without providing training on the safety and health hazards associated with the chemicals which could help prevent or eliminate the employees from the health hazards.  Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
