29 CFR 1926.850(a): Evidence in writing was not available that an engineering survey performed by a competent person was completed to determine the conditions of the framing floors and walls and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations. (a) 154 S Queen St., Lancaster, PA: On or about August 10, 2018, the employer did not have written documentation that a engineering survey was completed by a competent person prior to the demolition work on the 3 - story brick building. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date, and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
