29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a. On or about February 6, 2019, the employer did not ensure that the OP 10 robotic weld cell was adequately guarded in that an employee operating the machine sustained a contusion injury when the pneumatic clamps moved and struck an employee who was in the hazard area.  b. On or about February 8, 2019, the employer did not ensure that employees operating the OP 70 RH L4 weld cell were protected from pinch point hazards created between the part and the machine's air cylinder guide. An employee who entered the cell to align a part sustained a laceration injury when the pneumatic cylinder moved at a time the employee was in the hazard area.
