29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:        a)  On September 4, 2019, employees engaged in construction work were not protected from fall hazards of approximately 23.5 feet to the ground, while working along an unprotected edge of the low sloped roof.     No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10):  Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system:      a)  On September 4, 2019, employees were not protected from the hazard of falling while performing roofing work on a low-sloped roof with a height of approximately 23.5 feet.    Windward Roofing & Construction, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1179107, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on April 17, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 825 Center St. Des Plaines, Illinois 60016.     No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
