Quantico Marine Corps Base; Quantico, VA 22134: Employee(s) were exposed to fire hazards from a mounted portable fire extinguisher in the workroom storage area that was blocked and not readily accessible. The area in front of the extinguisher was not maintained clear and free from hazards such as palletized products and a shopping cart overflowing with rubber hoses. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Quantico Marine Corps Base; Quantico, VA 22134: The employer did not ensure that the area in front of electrical panels were kept free and clear of storage and debris items. Located in the receiving area, panel was blocked by a cart full of boxes parked between two protective stanchions. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Quantico Marine Corps Base; Quantico, VA 22134: Located in the meat department area, employee(s) were exposed to electrical hazards from an electrical receptacle contained within an enclosure that was damaged and had a missing cover. Quantico Marine Corps Base; Quantico, VA 22134, in the Meat Department, Condition: Employee(s) were exposed to an electrical shock hazard from an electrical power cord with a plug end that had inadequate strain relief. The DeCA Commissary was previously cited for the same violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard OSH ACT of 1970 Section 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1278225., citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 06-14-2018, with respect to a workplace located at DeCA Commissary 3400 Russell Rd. Quantico Marine Corps Base; Quantico, VA 22134 Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

(Cord was black in color). Instance #2: On or about 09-16-19 and times prior thereto, located at the DeCA Commissary 3400 Russell Rd. Quantico Marine Corps Base; Quantico, VA 22134: Located in the meat department area, employee(s) were exposed to electrical shock hazards from a damaged extension cord with missing outer insulation and exposed conductors that was running through a door opening and pinched on top of the lower metal swinging hinged area. (Cord was orange in color). The DeCA Commissary was previously cited for the same violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard OSH ACT of 1970 Section 29 CFR 1910.334(a)(2)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1346341, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 02-27-2019, with respect to a workplace located at DeCA Commissary Langley AFB, 5100 Spaatz Drive, Langley AFB, VA 23665 Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
