29 CFR 1910.134(i)(1)(ii): The employer did not ensure that compressed air used for respiration was in accordance with the following specifications: Compressed breathing air shall meet at least the requirements for Grade D breathing air as described in ANSI/ Compressed Gas Association Commodity Specification for Air, G-7.1-1989. a) Abrasive blasting booth 1: On or about July 6, 2020 and at times prior to, the employer exposed employees to health hazards in that the air supply used for respiration was not tested to ensure it met the requirements for Grade D breathing air. b) Abrasive blasting booth 2: On or about July 6, 2020 and at times prior to, the employer exposed employees to health hazards in that the air supply used for respiration had not been tested to ensure it met the requirements for Grade D breathing air.

29 CFR 1910.134(i)(5)(iv): The employer did not ensure that compressors used to supply breathing air to respirators were constructed and situated so as to have a tag maintained at the compressor containing the most recent change date and the signature of the person authorized by the employer to perform the change: a) Abrasive blasting booth 1: On or about June 6, 2020 and at times prior to the employer exposed employees to health hazards while abrasive blasting due to employer failing to ensure the filter pot included a tag containing information including the date of last filter change and signature of the person authorized by the employer to perform the change. b) Abrasive blasting booth 2: On or about June 6, 2020 and at times prior to the employer exposed employees to health hazards while abrasive blasting due to employer failing to ensure the filter pot included a tag containing information including the date of last filter change and signature of the person authorized by the employer to perform the change.
