29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  On or about June 29, 2020, the employer failed to ensure that employees working on a commercial roof at or around 3916 Pearl Rd. Medina, OH, were protected from fall hazards. Employees were performing roofing work without adequate fall protection and were exposed to a fall of 9 feet 5 inches.   The Charles Chapman Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1414202, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/31/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 5757 Beach, Medina, OH.
