Where mechanical handling equipment is used, sufficient safe clearances shall be allowed for aisles, at loading docks, through doorways and wherever turns or passage must be made. Aisles and passageways shall be kept clear and in good repair, with no obstruction across or in aisles that could create a hazard. Permanent aisles and passageways shall be appropriately marked.   1) On or about October 12, 2020 sufficient safe clearance was not allowed in the aisle of dock door 558 and 559 in building 805 to allow powered industrial trucks to turn around in  that a mobile conveyor system was obstructing some of the aisleway.

A safe distance shall be maintained approximately three truck lengths from the truck ahead, and the truck shall be kept under control at all times.  1) On or about October 12, 2020 a safe distance was not maintained in building 805 near dock door 558, in that a Crown stand-up forklift struck the back of a Crown RC forklift resulting in an employee injury.
