Employee training shall include at least:  29 CFR  1910.1200(h)(3)(i): Methods and observations that may be used to detect the presence or release of a hazardous chemical in the work area (such as monitoring conducted by the employer, continuous monitoring devices, visual appearance or odor of hazardous chemicals when being released, etc.).  a.) On or about April 2, 2023, Processor employees performing  Acid Wash Clean-In-Place and Regular Clean-In-Place sanitation tasks on Pasteurization Tank #4 were not adequately trained on how to use continuous monitoring devices in that; employees did not know how to address the Pasteurized Clean-In-Place Low Return Temperature Alarm and Recirculation Tank High Level Alarm on the Carlson Engineering Clean-In-Place dashboard to prevent the mixing of incompatible chemicals such as, but not limited to Ecolab AC-55-5 Red containing Nitric Acid and Phosphoric Acid (Corrosive) and Ecolab Exelerate CIP Plus containing Sodium Hydroxide and Sodium Hypochlorite (Corrosive).
