29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a.  At the infeed to the trim saw, on or about 6/14/2021:  the air/hydraulic gate used as a fence to straighten boards created a pinch point and was not guarded against contact.

29 CFR  1910.23(b)(10):29 CFR 1910.23(b)(10): The employer did not ensure that any ladder with structural or other defects was immediately tagged "Dangerous: Do Not Use" or with similar language in accordance with � 1910.145 and removed from service until repaired in accordance with � 1910.22(d), or replaced.  a.  At the dust collection silo, on or about 6/23/2021:  The fixed ladder cage was defective in that the cage was missing two vertical sections so the the cage was not continuous.  Additionally, the ladder side rails did not extend at least forty-two inches past the landing deck.  Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
